THE LUPUS DIETITIAN BIO

A Unique Perspective

Tanya Freirich, MS, RDN, CDCES -- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

I have worked as a dietitian for more than a decade and had the pleasure of counseling thousands of people. I collaborated with those people to reach their goals and feel their best no matter their medical condition.

My own struggles with autoimmune diseases started more than 20 years ago. After being diagnosed with Lupus and suffering through many flares, I completely changed my diet and lifestyle (and I was already following a "healthy" diet as a dietitian!) and completely eliminated my flares!

I continue work with people with Lupus to heal themselves, eliminate flares and feel great!

I'm also committed to the following values:

1. Whole-body approach: I address what's going on with you with a big picture view. We address diet, lifestyle, sleep, stress, self-care, movement, joy, and your relationship with your body.

2. You are the expert in your body! We work together to find what works best for you, but first and foremost, I'm listening to you!

3. Inclusive approach:  I work to provide anti-oppressive, inclusive spaces that offer clients respect and honor to their culture, cuisine, and systemic barriers to their health and wellness. I welcome people of all races, genders, classes and background to my practice and I'm working hard to provide all clients the best and most individualized care.
